Insidious whispers:
corrupted entities will slowly develop split personalities

Appearance
Short: She is tall and ghostly slender, with pale, translucent skin marked by faint glowing cracks that shift like living glyphs. Her eyes shine with an inner silver light, beautiful yet unsettling, their pupils trembling or splitting when spirits stir within her. Her long white-gold hair drifts as if underwater, weightless and silent. Her features are delicate but subtly mismatched, as though carved twice and imperfectly fused. Her shadow lags behind by a breath, moving with a mind of its own. She carries an aura of sacred stillness touched by quiet dread—holy, fragile, and haunting.
long: She is slender, tall, and unnervingly graceful—her movements too smooth, too silent, as if something unseen guides her limbs. Her presence draws attention not by force but by inevitability; she stands like a figure carved from sanctity and nightmare.
Skin
Her skin is pale to the point of translucence, like polished marble thinned by divine fire.
Beneath it, veins of faint light pulse slowly, spreading across her arms, neck, and face like celestial cracks in fragile glass.
In certain angles, those glowing lines form broken geometric patterns—never staying the same, shifting with her emotions or the spirit inside her.
Face
She has a hauntingly beautiful face:
high, delicate cheekbones
elegant lines
an expression permanently balanced between serenity and sorrow
Yet something is subtly wrong. Her features are almost symmetrical, but not entirely—like a statue sculpted twice and fused imperfectly.
Sometimes, when the spirit stirs, you can see a ripple across her features, as if another face is trying to press forward from beneath her skin.
Eyes
Her eyes are her most striking and most disturbing feature.
The irises glow faintly, deep silver or pale gold, as though lit from within.
Her pupils occasionally elongate, split, or tremble like a candle flame caught in wind.
Looking into them feels like gazing into a chapel of shattered mirrors—holy, infinite, but fractured.
When the wizard stirs within her, her eyes darken at the edges, and the glow inside flickers like a dying star.
Hair
Her hair is long, straight, and almost weightless—drifting slightly even when there is no breeze.
Its color is a muted white-gold, threaded with faint shimmering strands that catch light like wet silk.
When she is distressed or channeling spiritual energy, portions of her hair dim or brighten, as if her emotions travel through the strands.
Hands
Her hands are graceful but unnervingly cold, the fingertips slightly sharper in shape than natural.
The glowing “cracks” in her skin are especially visible along her fingers, like fault lines of divine power barely contained.
When the wizard reaches through her, her fingers twitch independently—or curl in unnatural, necromantic sigils.
Shadow
Her shadow behaves incorrectly.
It lags behind her by a fraction of a second, stretching or compressing unnaturally.
Sometimes its head tilts when hers does not.
On rare occasions, it even splits, forming the suggestion of someone standing behind her.
Voice
Soft, melodic, reverent… until it isn’t.
At times her voice doubles, a whisper underneath her words echoing thoughts not her own.
When the wizard emerges, her tone deepens, becomes ancient and cold—like dry bones grinding beneath cathedral stone.
Aura
Standing near her feels like being inside a forgotten shrine:
sacred stillness
a quiet hum
the faint scent of cold stone and distant incense
Yet beneath the holiness lies unease, a quiet dread, as if the divine light inside her is forever on the verge of cracking open.
Flavor
Race Concept
The Luminescent Myrrowen are born as living paradoxes: a perfect balance of light and shadow, holiness and terror. They are the result of divine experiments or blessings gone wrong—souls bound to ethereal radiance that is both beautiful and horrifying. They are meant to be vessels, their very existence is fragile yet powerful, drawing spirits toward them like moths to flame.
They evoke awe and fear simultaneously, a walking reminder of the thin line between divine grace and nightmare.
Physical Traits
Ethereal Beauty with Horror: Their bodies are slender, almost fragile, but their skin is subtly translucent. Veins glow faintly with a holy light, and their bones sometimes appear through their skin like pale crystal.
Eyes of the Beyond: Their irises shimmer like captured starlight, but the pupils sometimes split or flicker unnaturally, giving a feeling of watching multiple realities at once.
Sacred Fractures: Cracks in their skin form faint geometric or glyph-like patterns. They emit a faint aura, sometimes whispering faint prayers or screams in languages unknown.
Shadowed Aura: Their shadow may move independently in dim light, stretching unnaturally or lingering longer than their body.
Ghostly Presence: Even in deathly stillness, they radiate subtle motion—hair drifting as if underwater, a faint shimmer across the skin, the glow of inner light pulsing like a heartbeat.
Soul & Spirit Traits
Duality of the Soul: Each Myrrowen carries a twin soul—one serene and holy, one shadowed and restless. These souls interact subtly, giving the race an uncanny presence; they may stare somewhere empty and speak in tones that feel like both gentle and accusing simultaneously.
Vessel Nature: Their souls are incomplete, leaving spaces where spirits can linger or bind. Most Myrrowen encounter wandering spirits, sometimes friendly, often malevolent.
Ethereal Resonance: They can faintly feel the presence of otherworldly beings, and their light pulses in response to spiritual proximity, often forewarning of danger or haunting.
Personality Tendencies
Gravely serious, contemplative, and introspective.
A natural detachment from mundane pleasures; their focus tends to drift toward the spiritual or the uncanny.
Deep empathy mixed with unavoidable terror: they sense suffering and horror in ways most cannot comprehend.
Can inspire awe or fear in others unintentionally.
Cultural / Mystical Notes
The Luminescent Myrrowen are often seen as living relics in their societies.
They are frequently called upon as priests, mediums, or spiritual guides—sometimes revered, sometimes shunned.
Legends speak of Myrrowen whose light shatters, leaving them as ghostlike or monstrous vessels, lost between life and death.
Their very presence can affect the environment: flowers may bloom unnaturally near them, while shadows seem deeper and colder.
Horror & Beauty
Beauty: Their ethereal glow, delicate features, and luminous patterns are mesmerizing—like looking at a perfect angel frozen in moonlight.
Horror: Subtle wrongness in proportions, the flickering light, the whispering of invisible beings, and their unnatural aura of inevitability make them uncanny. They feel alive in ways the living shouldn’t.
Ideas
The Spirit:
The entity that inhabits her is a cursed, necromantic wizard—once mortal, now a fragment of chaotic, malevolent intellect.
In life, he was obsessed with body, soul, and death manipulation, experimenting with necromancy, body swaps, and “opposite magic”—a form of cursed spellcraft that reversed the effects of holy or natural forces.
His ambition to bend reality ended in disaster: a catastrophic magical explosion tore his body apart, leaving his soul fractured and unstable.
Unable to pass on or rest, his essence drifted through the spiritual plane, laughing and whispering in riddles of chaos, searching for a perfect vessel to anchor itself to the mortal realm.
The Event:
Your character was a devout priest/nun—a vessel of faith, trained to commune with the divine and cleanse spirits.
One night, she was performing a highly sacred rite designed to purify a cursed relic (a forgotten grimoire, perhaps, or a corrupted holy object).
The ritual required extreme focus and harmony with the divine.
But her Luminescent Myrrowen soul, inherently “incomplete” and spiritually resonant, reacted unpredictably.
The relic pulsed with hidden energy—it had previously absorbed fragments of the wizard’s spirit during his final, shattered experiments.
When she began the rite, the wizard’s spirit recognized her as the perfect anchor, and in the instant her soul aligned with the relic’s corrupted energy, he slipped into her body.
The Possession:
Unlike normal possession, the wizard did not completely overwrite her.
Her soul is dual and hollowed, naturally receptive; his spirit lodged in the “space between” her twin souls.
Now, she exists as three overlapping entities in one body:
Her original holy self—calm, dutiful, compassionate.
Her shadowed, restless twin soul—a natural Luminescent Myrrowen trait.
The chaotic, necromantic wizard—cunning, irreverent, and dangerous.
This creates constant psychic tension: whispers, visions, impulses, and sensations no other human could endure.
