Background

From a world invaded by some Lovecraftian nonsense. Said Things-That-Should-Not-BE liked Art Deco and 1930's style things so much that when they establish their global government, they made all that stay the same even as technology advanced (up to Today's tech level, phones and "FlipFlap" (TikTok reskin) and all!

His parent were loyal cultists who offered him up for sacrifice as a baby, but he ended up at a boarding school for reasons. It was a military/super-solider training program type thing and just before he graduated, he got out. Which means he is AWOL and some weird horror MPs are after him.

He scraped by until he struck paydirt with PI work. Enclave picked him up after he solved a particularly difficult murder. Had his first mission in some 1920 looking NOLA rip off where evil cultists that hated music (what whack-a-mole job would come up with that for a dogma) were trying to stop a party. It was good work (this would be the "A Flat" Cultist mission 4/18/2026).

Little does he know that his cultists parents actually made sure their son made it into the that program to keep him safe, and they are part of a growing anti-occupation force that seeks to rid the world of its cosmological horror autocracy. Which might spell more trouble for him in the future!
