Known only as Zahak, this mysterious warrior exudes an aura of mystery around him, as very little about his past is known, even to members of the Enclave. While his eyes are almost always covered by his sunglasses, it's clear that he's always sizing up his surroundings and his allies. While he can and will come up with comprehensive battle plans, he is also quick to improvise if necessary. Zahak seems to be very skilled at occupying an enemy's attention, and drawing it away from wounded allies.
However, during his mission in the Soulless Lands, he seemed to let a little bloodlust out while he blasted the invading army with his Thunderbolts and Thunderclap. Usually stoic, this could just be a one time thing, or maybe he let's loose when he's facing unlikely odds. On the same mission, he advised his ally Danarei to search for anyone among the army with different uniforms, on horseback, or towards the rear, suggesting they might be command personnel who should be targeted first to sow chaos amongst enemy forces. This hints at prior military experience or knowledge, including his remarks about an obscure last stand by a few against a large army.
During his mission into The Simulation, Zahak channeled enough arcane energy to enhance the effects of Storm Brewing for the first time to save Ardis from hitting the ground at terminal velocity. By focusing on only them, he enhanced the power of the summoned gust of wind to slow her fall enough for her to land safely. This new ability perk of his, due to the focusing on a smaller area or group, has been dubbed "Eye of the Storm"
He seems to wear an unusual symbol around his neck, which he often tucks inside his armor for safe-keeping on missions. It's unknown exactly where he hails from in Manifold, or even if he's from any known location at all.
His Thunderhammer is a long, two-handed variety with some kind of holder attached to it. What it's for, will be revealed shortly....... The holder ended up being an amplifier of sorts, combining the Thunderbolt's power with the Thunderhammer to increase the power of Thunderclaps. Zahak has dubbed this skill "You've been Thunderstruck"
During his mission in the flying city of Belreath, Zahak faced off against a humanoid storm elemental. He came away with some permanent burn scars on his body, but they ultimately parted as friendly adversaries upon the mission's success. The storm welcomed him to challenge it again any time, while Zahak seemed to sympathize with the elemental, one wanderer to another.
While on that same mission in Belreath, Zahak displayed the interesting ability to use his Thunderbolts to charge up his arcane energy to speed up Storm Brewing and Eye of the Storm. It is unknown if he is capable of doing this with other perks, or even what the long term effects will be......
While Zahak continues using his Thunderbolts to charge up his Arcane energy and power his attacks, they might be affecting his personality somewhat when he's charged up with power....
Zahak holds opponents who can give him a challenge in high respect, and will forgo his usual bloodlust when charged up and speak to them politely with respect, which grows the longer the battle lasts.
During his battle with The Eye of the Storm, Simon Thornside in the Bruxia Kingdom, Zahak pitied the man for the tragedies that led him to crossing blades, opening saying he wished they could've been allies instead of enemies. At his enemy's last request, Zahak executed him. With the battle over, Zahak took his fallen opponent's body to give him a warrior's burial next to the grave of his deceased daughter. One last act of respect to honor his opponent.
Zahak views his word as his bond, so if he gives his word that he will do something, he will do it.
Zahak's Spatha short sword can also be infused with his Lightning bolts like his Thunderhammer can, shrouding the blade in elemental energy. It also has a curved appearance like a scimitar. He has also replaced his damaged Feathered Cloak with one that has a new wing design, with black raven feathers. After a serious training session with the storm elemental, Zahak has replaced his worn out Talaria with a set of boots with dragon's wings engraved on them, which seem to have the same power and function the same as the Talaria did.
At least one of the sets of Lightning Bolts Zahak carries is non-electrical based, as his battle with The Eye of the Storm made him ensure he had methods to counter opponents who can absorb his electrical attacks. So he embarked on a weeklong training spree with the storm elemental in an Arctic-like location to craft those along with honing the skills to use them. In that same battle, he cut off his opponent from the rest of the fighting using his Eye of the Storm perk. And he may be able to use some other tricks involving that perk as well......
Zahak has also borrowed a tactic or two used by his most recent opponent The Eye of the Storm. With training from the storm elemental he first crossed paths with in Belreath, he has become skilled enough in it to utilize it in missions, making him even more dangerous to his enemies.
During his mission in the lands of Polaris, Zahak developed great respect for the battle capabilities of Sir Gemma and her companions. When she had to withdraw from her battle with the Solaris Knight due to injuries, Zahak shot the demon general a death glare before covering the withdrawal, hinting that things are not over between the two of them. When they returned to the Knights Stellar camp on the edge of the mistake, Zahak offered to return if Sir Gemma goes after him again to aid in removing the Solaris Knight's head from his shoulders.
On his mission in the Dawncrest Kingdom, Zahak swore an oath in the name of his goddess and on his oath of fealty to his overlord to King Aethelgard, the Bone Crowned Monarch, that he would aid in investigating his claims and would help gain justice and vengeance for the King on the nations who poisoned him at a peace treaty centuries ago. When assassins sent by the Dawncrest Queen attacked the party, an enraged Zahak took it one step further, declaring war on the kingdom and the other nations. Before pinging out, he escorted Melissa the necromancer on horseback to a rendezvous point outside of hostile territory, where his people would give her safe passage to his distant stronghold where she will be protected while he marshals his forces for war.
Zahak has confirmed himself to not be human, stating to the Bone Crowned Monarch that he knows what it's like to be called "monster", "abomination, and "demon" so he instantly felt a bond with the fallen king. (His true form may be revealed soon)
