Escort as many Ratta Folk as possible out of the Steel Throne Hold

The Steel Throne Hold is an ancient dwarven fortress which is unusually overseen not by a High King, but by a Master Warden. Few remember why that is the case, and even fewer worry about it in their day to day lives. Yet those that are close to the Warden know that The Steel Throne Hold had been constructed in times long gone with a single goal; to hold an ancient enemy, entombed underneath the throne, forever at bay.

The Midden is a gloomy, depressing place. Situated underneath the throne room, deep underground, the dwarves of the Steel Throne Hold cast their garbage there, along with their dead. Dwarves of low birth would inhabit the Midden, looking for resources amid the trash, yet nowadays a new people made their home there.

The Ratta Folk are a nomadic culture, which has, in recent history, decided to settle down in the Midden, with the blessing of the Master Warden. Unphased by the somberness of the place, the Ratta have always known how to stay positive even in the darkest of places, and now they toil in the Midden, looking for the budding Crystal Hearts to export to the upper levels of the Hold.

This has always been a mutually beneficial agreement; the Ratta Folk were never forced to stay in the Midden. As a gesture of good will, the Master Warden would always keep the doors to the throne room open, through which they could go back onto the surface, if they so desired. Yet now, for the first time since the Ratta have settled here, the doors to the throne room had shut without a warning, leaving them without an exit. Most Ratta atrribute this to the feud between clans Olszik and Turnaf, but others remain more worried.

The Enclave Seismologic Department had been able to identify faint elastic waves of organic origin, hinting at something being buried deep down in the Midden. Whatever it is, it is likely to fully awake soon.
