Exasperation Extraction

You are being sent to the Ebony Convent, an extradimensional gothic mansion presided over by the Contessa Trasudanica and her many undead servants. The Contessa has been involved with The Enclave many times, both as an ally and as an enemy, and a recent mission involved a squad being sent to covertly acquire her diary. This mission ended in an abject failure, leaving two agents hopelessly stranded. Your job is to rescue them.

The stranded agents are as follows:

• Goose, a low-level Houndmaster, a perennial coward. Her dog, Rusty, must also be found and rescued.
• Darbisher, a high-level Infiltrator, who has probably concealed himself among the staff.

Unable to use their badges, the stranded agents must be evacuated via the front door. They are good friends and have worked together on many missions.

The Convent is no longer on high alert, but its staff continuing to scour the premises, hunting for the missing agents. Beware the Contessa's Candlemaids, who have far greater acuity than the other undead. Even more notably, your greatest threat will be the Contessa's confidant, Stellan Lieber, who leads the search for the missing agents. He wears enchanted black armor that renders him nigh invincible, and The Enclave recommends avoiding him at all costs.

After porting in, the squad evaded detection at first, interacting with non-hostile undead and gathering clues until they eventually located Goose (in an unconvincing disguise) and reunited her with Rusty. They were then found and pursued through the mazelike basement by Stellan Lieber, only managing to lose him after detonating an improvised explosive.

They then found Darbischer and blitzed through a crowded parlor to reach the exit, resulting in a messy fight. Claudette took up a rearguard to hold off Lieber as Danyel mustered a massive Energyworked Catalog to blow through the final layer of magical defenses so Goose and Darbischer could escape. The squad pinged out just in time, Claudette barely escaping Lieber's clutches.
