Arbitrating Assholes and Aliens

The city of Xuob is a bustling metropolis, thanks in large part to a magical device that itself is the size of a small building. This device lies underground, near the city centre, producing thermal energy that is then converted into electricity for the vast majority of the city. Thanks to this device, the city has grown to its current size, having become one of the most influential of the country. Recently, something major happened. A giant spaceship landed nearby, almost as large in size as the city itself. Enormous beings, several stories tall and uncannily humanoid in appearance, have left this spaceship and introduced themselves, claiming to have come for research of human life. After the initial shock, the mayor showed them around and told them of the history. As he explained the magical device and brought the aliens down to show it.. they immediately asked if they could have it. He denied at first, and discussions quickly turned ugly as neither party wanted to budge. Now, the aliens have threatened to take the device by force if they need to. Your mission is to ensure that the city doesn't get destroyed and to get both sides to an acceptable agreement.

The Agents, Father Garcia the Vizier, Sir William the Charlata, and Big Churu the Swindler arrived and solved a dispute between greedy civillians and aliens over possession of a microwave by exposing the mayor. Big Churu may have then tried to cheat his fellow agents out of their merx.
