The windowed dome of Evelis City is home to the mightiest judicial court of their known world. Though it seems the judges are at an impasse with their current defendant, a Mr. Damon Jezik.
Damon has been accused of spying on the city's defenses and leaking intel to the opposing nation of Revenal. The only issue -- Damon denies any wrongdoing and seems to know nothing of Revenal's plot to take the city.
The evidence seems to lean that way, though the jury & judge both find it hard to believe and do not seem convinced. The solution they have come up with is a coin flip and "letting the gods decide" the man's fate.
Damon's wife, Jeanetta, has called upon the Enclave to uncover the true evidence of the case and clear her husband's name. She claims he has had no wrongdoing and doesn't deserve his current fate.
