I can't believe it's not wine!

Sanctuary Manor, the home to the illustrious Caleb Xie is hosting their annual Masquerade ball. This ball is famous for their anonymity and mysterious guests. All guests are to remain nameless and masked or else face dire consequences.

Your client, ‘Tara’ has contacted the Enclave because she fears that this ball is not what it appears to be. Hidden forces are at play and her girlfriend is in danger. Having been selected as a guest of honor, ‘Eve’, she requests that all agents rescue ‘Eve’without alerting the guests. She has informed the Enclave that two very important guests will assist the agents if they can find them.

One, Rafayel, an information broker, and the other, Sylus, Caleb’s long standing rival.
Goodluck, You have until the sun rises.

(somethings to note, the mission will start at midnight, you have 6 hours. The Enclave will provide you with two masks that you can choose from, this choice will matter)

Agents Szethaelus (Szeth for short) and Naomi were dispatched at the request of their client 'Tara'. Tara's girlfriend was selected to appear as a guest of honor 'Eve' at a mysterious annual masquerade ball, hosted by Caleb Xia, however Tara fearing 'Eve's safety asked the Enclave to rescue 'Eve' without alerting the guests of their presence. The Enclave and Agents agreed. Tara informed the Enclave that there would be two allies who would be willing to help them, Rafayel (an information broker) and Sylus (the hosts longstanding rival)

During the mission assembly the Enclave attendant tasked with helping the agents presented them two black boxes. Both containing an important mission item that would help them, a black mask and a white mask. Szeth decided to take a black mask, however Naomi, being a kitsune, decided to keep on their own (white) mask refusing the Enclave attendant.

The mission went as followed---

[12 AM]Agents Szeth and Naomi arrive at the front of the manor, they take note of the divide between those with white & black masks. Szeth talks to a man with a black mask who is drinking 'wine' & uses his [Endless Tankard] to bond/gain more info. The man doesn't like Szeth's wine and gives him information on where to find 'better wine', the kitchens. Meanwhile Naomi enters the Ballground and notices two guards, one with a black mask appears to be sleeping on the job, while another with a white mask is trying to wake him up. Naomi pulls the white masked guard aside to ask some questions. They learn that those with black masks are special and are warned that if they ever run into trouble they should find him. He gives his name as Jeremiah and mentions his partners name Xavier
[1 AM] Agent Naomi looking to glean more information decides to explore the kitchen however is shooed away by the servants because of their white mask, they decide that the next best course of action is to go to the Library. They walk down a long hall with various paintings, however many are the same painting of the host Caleb Xia, when they enter the library, they are greeted by the librarian (Zayne) who informs them of the ongoing play in the theater room. Naomi try's to read some of the books but finds they are unable, the only one they can read is a picture book about a 'merman and his lost time traveling lover' however they find it uninteresting and close it.

Agent Szeth curious about the 'better wine' and why the white masked guests are not provided with any refreshments visits the kitchen, he is greeted by the servants and offered a glass of 'refrigerated wine', He drinks it in one glup and concludes its not wine but blood.

[2 AM] After the shocking revelation Agent Szeth theorizes that those with black masks must be vampires. He leaves the kitchen and goes to the ballground where the host Caleb Xia is giving a speech. Caleb is interrupted by a man named Sylus who gives him an ominous congratulations. Both part way's after Caleb mentions Eve and Szeth partakes in gossip.

Agent Naomi is also given a revelation, in the theater they find Rafayel in the middle of critiquing the actors, they inform him that Naomi was sent by the Enclave to help Eve, Rafayel tells them of Eve's true purpose, entertainment for vampires. He says that he will help escort Eve to safety via carriage if they can find her and tells them that the hunt for 'Eve' begins once she receives her personalized red mask which happens right about now
[3 AM] Agent Szeth after partaking in gossip has learned that Sylus and Caleb's rivalry is an old one. However the major rift formed between them right now is because they both host an annual masquerade around the same time, and both are convinced that the other is copying them. While Szeth is midst gossip he learns what the guests plan to do to 'Eve,' 'drain her dry'. Caleb once again joins the stage and announces that the hunt for 'Eve' has commenced, and that Eve has been given a head start in order to make things fair. While the guests are in a frenzy, Szeth takes the opportunity to strike a conversation with Caleb... by telling Caleb that his party sucks and that Sylus does his better. Szeth leaves before Caleb decides to kill him and goes to find Sylus.

Agent Naomi after being informed by the start of the hunt for Eve by Rafayel decides to find her first. They come across the servants barracks before concluding that Eve wouldn't be able to hide there. They take note of a door leading to the outside garden before heading toward the sitting room.

[4 AM] Agent Szeth ventured to find Sylus and found him in Caleb's master bedroom. Sylus had broken in and ransacked the place searching for something. Szeth questions him and tells him that he was sent by the Enclave, Sylus informs him that he just wants chaos. Szeth attempts to ram into Calebs windows but finds that they are reinforced and hard to break open. Sylus uses energy manipulation to open the window. They bond over their mutual dislike for Caleb and love for chaos, Sylus thanks Szeth for riling up Caleb but warns him that if he stays Caleb will kill him. [Friend in Need] Sylus gifts Szeth a red brooch and tells Szeth to tap on it if he finds Eve, before disappearing.

Agent Naomi goes to search for Eve in the sitting room, however it is crowded and they decide to search elsewhere. They go to search the bedrooms and finds one mysteriously open. Before they try to search the
room they find Szeth trying to shake an apple tree. Szeth tells them that Sylus hinted at the connection between Eve, Caleb and Apples and thinks that she may be up a tree. They shake the tree finding nothing. However Naomi remembers the unexplored garden and both Naomi and Szeth decide to search for Eve together.

[5 AM] Behind the garden is a greenhouse that hosts multiple apple tree's and plants, however in the center is one big apple tree and the person they had been searching for Eve, however she is not looking well. She was attacked and was left to slowly bleed out. Szeth rips some of his cloth to press against the wound while Naomi uses [Veneer] to change the color of her mask so that she wouldn't be targeted by the guests. Szeth recall's his [Friend in need] and uses the brooch to transport all of them to a safe location. They arrive in the front of the manor and are greeted by Xaiver and Jeremiah who are surprised by their sudden arrival.

Jeremiah questions Naomi if the injured person they are carrying is Eve and the Agents confirm it. Jeremiah takes them to his carriage and explains that he was being kept as a political prisoner, however, by helping to save Eve they are saving more lives than they realize. Xavier goes to assist the guests who are growing rowdy due to the prolonged search for Eve, however Naomi creates a [Phantasm] of Eve with a red mask, the guests attempt to touch/capture Eve however due to Naomi's perk [Will of the wisp] the moment they touch it, there is an explosion. Jeremiah takes this distraction as a sign to flee, and the agents Enclave badges ping. Szeth immediately pings out but Naomi takes a moment to enjoy the chaos before also pinging out.
