Blackpool Muffin

“Its been a week since we wrecked upon this cursed isle. It seemed a pleasant enough place at first: warm days and good fishing and foraging along the beach. We even found good company in other shipwrecked mariners. They showed us the only source of fresh water on the island, a pool as dark as pitch. Twas a trick of the light caused by the black sand at the bottom they assured us and tis true the water came out clear but I liked it not.

We seem to be the only ones trying to repair our boat. The rest have accepted their lot and more and more of my crew have left to join them. My water and grog supplies are running low. Soon I will be forced to drink from the pool or die. I know not if this memo can reach this Enclave of yours, old friend, but I need your help more than ever now. Maud Cotton, Captain of the Golden Rambler” Your mission is to enable Captain Maud to escape this island.

The Agents, Mallory the Buccanneer, Breagha the aspiring wisewoman, and Lucy and Frobisher the oddballs arrived on a beach with marooned ships. Everything here cast no shadow. They had an encounter with Captain Maud before the oddballs went to the forest and the others went to the shanty town.

At the lake, they did some sleuthing, it seemed to compel them to drink. The only one who couldn't resist was Jeremy MacBearimy, Lucy's teddy bear, who went missing. When Lucy discovered this, she was distraught.

They had an encounter with some possessed pirates after leaving, and after much deliberation, they rounded the island, found more possessed, and worked their way back to the central lake.

There, Lucy used her doohickey to shine light into the lake magnified by the sun, and Mallory blasted a shadowy heart revealed at the bottom.

Soon after, the foul magic dispersed and the agents were able to help the crew escape the island.
