Frantic Fairytale

You are being sent into the lands of Mecholat, to the village of Brisi. The small village is nestled into a valley, with a forest bordering one end and a road outward on the other.
Something strange has recently happened here. In the middle of the night, a bright light flashed through the dark of the forest. When the guards and hunters went to check it out, they saw a weird scene before them: a large fire, the smell of meat, floating and bursting spheres, a tiny bobbing castle and people who spoke a language foreign to them.
Confused and frightened by the situation, they have called for reinforcements. Your mission is to find out what happened here and to resolve the situation favorably.
