You have been hired by the Junior Archivist of the Collegium Arcanum. In the basement of the Containment Tower is an archway carved with runes which shows a large room of some bluish stone and a large pedestal of the same stone topped with a carved stone slab. The facet facing the archway slants away from the viewer like a writing desk and is also carved with runes and studded with gems. No one could pass through the arch and the mages of the Collegium decided it had been warded for some good reason and left it to gather dust.
Today, the Junior Archivist rushed down to the basement following the sound of rushing water. The Chamber beyond the arch was flooded a foot deep and water was spilling around the edges of the ward into the basement of the Tower. Her attempts to reinstate the wards have failed and her frantic messages to the Collegium have gone unanswered. Following emergency procedures, she contacted the Enclave.
Your mission is to discover what is causing the flooding and stop it before the water reaches the salt wards that contain the worst items in the Tower.
